Point of Purchase Advertising International (POPAI) has announced its fourth Futures so bright green sustainability conference in Melbourne on June 18 2010.
 
The theme of the conference is ‘Sustainability at retail’ and features 10 global experts from world leading brands revealing how sustainability can drive growth and efficiency in the retail environment from storefront, operations, design and construction through to supply chain.
 
Keynote speakers include John J Carde, senior vice president, retail director of Bank America discussing how Bank of America has implemented green building practices into its retail banking centres as part of a US$20 billion environmental commitment.
 
Delegates will also hear from Elizabeth Dowd, planning and fixture design manager from leading US retailer Recreation Equipment,  about the journey from green store design concept to prototype and ultimately national roll-out.
 
Director of Australian consultancy Green for Retail, Ben Wheaton, will address the issue ‘Where to from here?’ exploring how to develop a roadmap for taking sustainability forward within an organisation.
 
The conference runs from 7.30am to 12.30pm on June 18 2010 at the Telstra Corporate Conference Centre in Melbourne.
