Fab.com known as ‘the world’s everyday design store’ has extended its global shipping services to Australians.

The online store offers a range of furniture, home, art, vintage, jewellery, technology, fashion, pet and ‘fun’ products. It aims to connect consumers to more than 20,000 designers from all over the world.

Speaking to RetailBiz, Deborah Roth, Fab.com ‎SVP global communications, said the decision to bring Australian into the mix was based on customer demand.

“We conducted a survey of all of our existing members and they told us that they wanted us to ship to Australia,” she said.

“In fact, more people requested extending Fab shipping capabilities to Australia than to any other new country – so that’s exactly what we decided to do!”
Currently more than a third of total sales come from countries outside the United Sites.

The company plans to continue to deliver on its “Smiles Guaranteed” philosophy to its Australian audience.

“We want every single aspect of every single Fab experience to make people smile,” she said.

“And if it doesn’t we want people to let us know to that, and we’ll adjust it till it does.  Fab is guided by our customers’ honest feedback.  It’s our most useful source of information.”

Fab.com will also rely on its social media channels to help generate product and brand awareness.

“If a consumer sees a Fab product they love online or via social media, they are excited to share their discovery with their social networks, who will then pop on to Fab themselves to look around, perhaps share a cool item or a purchase with their social networks, and the word of mouth awareness trend continues," she said.
