After months of excitement, UK-based company Arcadia Group has finally announced that it will be opening its first Australian TOPSHOP TOPMAN store in Melbourne’s Chapel Street on Thursday 8 December.

The 1,600 square metre store will be located at The Jam Factory. It will showcase exclusive and limited edition TOPSHOP and TOPMAN items available in Australia only during the grand opening such as Glam Rockette, Deco Grunge, Trawler and AAA.

Mary Homer, managing director for TOPSHOP, says the company is working with its partners Hilton Seskin of Next Athleisure to create the British shopping experience in this first Australian store.

"We are very excited about the imminent launch of TOPSHOP Melbourne in December, a city known for its diverse cultures and inspiring street style. I feel confident the TOPSHOP aesthetic will strike a cord with the effortlessly chic Australian market,” she said.

Melbourne will be the second city outside of London in which TOPSHOP will offer its Personal Shopping service. The first city was in New York where the doors opened there in April 2009.

"We are excited that finally after months of anticipation the moment of opening is upon us with our first Australian flagship store in Melbourne and now can't wait to see the customer reaction to the product collections and introduction of our complimentary Personal Shopping service – the third city to offer this beyond London and New York," David Shepherd, managing director of TOPMAN, said.
