Mothercare enters voluntary administration

Mothercare Australia has entered into voluntary administration appointing BRI Ferrier as administrators.

This comes after the company had reported that while there were plans for Myer Family Company to acquire the entire business in November but the agreement was later terminated a little over two month later on 29 January.

“MFCo terminated the agreement stating some conditions were not fulfilled or waived,” Mothercare Australia said in an ASX statement.

As a result, Brian Silvia and Antony Resnick of BRI Ferrier have been appointed as joint and several voluntary administrators.
