One of the world’s most influential interior designers, Nina Campbell, has been appointed as the third 2007 Dulux Colour Awards judge.
“Nina Campbell’s designs have become icons in the world of style. Her expertise extends to all facets of interior design yet the importance of colour in her work is clearly paramount. This is evident not only in her client work but also her own private projects¯she is undoubtedly a passionate, fearless advocate for colour in design,” says Dulux spokesperson Andrea Lucena-Orr.
Campbell will join Australian architects Abbie Galvin, principal Bligh Voller Nield and Tim O’Sullivan, principal multiplicity to judge next year’s submissions in the design awards, now in their 21st year.
Campbell is renowned for her elegant style highlighted by a rich palette of colours and fabrics and has worked for the Duke and Duchess of York, Queen of Denmark, Rod Stewart, Annabel’s private club in London and Villa Nova in Barbados.
"I really believe that colour is so much a part of life and it brings such pleasure to people’s lives, therefore it has always been an integral part of my work in design,” explains Campbell.
“Colour and its combinations is such a wonderful way to express yourself and create a personal style and so I strive to help my clients do this. To be asked to be involved in the Dulux colour awards is such an honour, not least because Dulux to me is brand synonymous with wonderful colour.”
