Smoo Smoothies is leading the next generation of fast food – healthy fast food. As we look forward to the warmer weather, smoothies will become a must have menu item for all retailers.
With such a targeted focus on healthy eating and obesity issues in Australia, the smoothie industry is set to grow and Barfresh Beverage Systems, creator of Smoo Smoothies, is heading the charge with its unique smoothie making system.
The process uses individually packaged pre-portioned ingredients with each serve containing real fruit pieces, low fat yogurt or sorbet and ice. Using one Smoo pack and Smoo juice, freshly made smoothies can be made in less than a minute.
“The juice and smoothie industry has boomed over the past few years and will continue to grow as people look for a healthy alternative to fast food and fizzy drinks,” says Riccardo Delle Coste, creator of Smoo Smoothies and managing director of Barfresh Beverage Systems.
Smoo Smoothies are available in six scrumptious flavours including mango, strawberry, banana, tropical, chocolate and cookies & cream.
This process is much more efficient than traditional smoothie making processes as it cuts out the preparation time needed to peel and cut up fruit. It also eliminates waste as each portion creates one serve exactly and ensures a consistent tasting product, as the ingredient measurements are identical in each serve.
“Simplifying this process ensures Smoo Smoothies are a more profitable option for retail outlets. More units can be sold as they are faster to turn around while saving money for the retailer, as it’s less labor intensive and eliminates waste,” says Delle Coste.
Barfresh offers free marketing support and a free-on-loan commercial blender to all retailers who sell Smoo Smoothies. The blenders are pre-programmed for both Smoo Smoothies and Hot Ones. Marketing support for the Smoo Range includes posters in various sizes, table talkers, counter cards, loyalty cards and balloons.
