Sandwich bar franchise Healthy Habits recently scooped the pool of national business awards with five wins and six finalist awards.
Healthy Habits director and founder Katherine Sampson took home the My Business Overall Excellence Award in 2007, while her Fountain Gate franchise partner Michael Jamieson was awarded Franchisee of the Year by the Australian Retailers Association.
The sandwich bar chain, which has grown to 28 stores since franchising in 2004, won the My Business Best Young Business award, Small Business Champion Best Gourmet Food/Takeaway store award and the Unity Foundation Business Award for contribution to the Indigenous Community.
Sampson said the awards acknowledged the strength of the brand and the hard work and commitment of the franchise partners.
“Winning these awards has been a major accomplishment for us and it is a great honour to be acknowledged by our peers and business leaders.
“We are now one of the most awarded franchise systems in the marketplace which has given our current and prospective franchise partners more confidence in our system.”
She added that they plan to expand the franchise with another 15 stores along the east coast of Australia.
“In the future we will also be implementing a number of business strategies including expanding into Western Australia and New Zealand which will see us reach 100 stores in the next three years.”
Healthy Habits currently has 28 stores located throughout ACT, New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria.
