Beefing up its battle against Woolworths and Coles, Aldi will be reducing prices on a number of its products as part of its new ‘Real Reductions’ campaign.
Aldi spokesperson told RetailBiz that dropping the prices will help customers particularly at a time with rising costs of living.
“We are always looking for ways to deliver even greater value to our customers every day. Our ‘Real Reductions’ campaign is just another way we are helping our customers to keep their grocery bills down,” the spokesperson said.
Some of the first products to be reduct include its NRG max from $3.49 to $2.99 and its Portview flavour tuna from $0.89 to $0.79.
According to the company, it will continue to deliver price reductions on more products in the coming months.
The spokesperson also added that the company is unfazed by the competition with Woolworths and Coles, but instead welcomes the challenge.
“We believe competition is good as it keeps us focused on delivering exceptional value for our customers; ALDI will continue to maintain its lowest price position,” the spokesperson said.
