Aldi has confirmed it will be expanding its retail footprint with launches planned for Western Australia and South Australia.
“We at Aldi Australia take great pride that our recent decision to enter the Western Australia and South Australia markets confirms our desire to expand our Australian footprint, ensuring the Aldi promise of Smarter Shopping – high quality products at low prices – reaches more Australians right across the country,” an Aldi spokesperson said.
“Part of this promise involves appointing a dedicated management team that has a deep understanding of our values and operations and can guarantee the success of our journey into these new markets.”
Aldi’s Queensland managing director Viktor Jakupec will be relocating to South Australia to oversee the launch in the state.
“We also pride ourselves on the development our people and building our team from within,” the spokesperson said.
“Viktor Jakupec has been leading our Stapylton region for 10 years. He possesses more than a decade of experience with our business, which he will bring to South Australia when he moves to lead the region in the first half of 2014.”
