Franchised Food Company has added Europa Coffee to its growing brand portfolio.
Franchised Food Company CEO Stan Gordon said the acquisition of Europa Coffee drive-thru is a “whole new offering, which marks an exciting achievement and further development for FFCo”.
“The drive-thru concept is all about making life easier for people, with several coffee chains embarking on this idea,” he said.
“We are thrilled to be a part of such an exciting new concept and we’re constantly on the lookout for new opportunities in the fun treats arena to enable us to grow. We hope to expand the Europa Coffee brand with the same enthusiasm.
“We always have our sights set on new exciting ideas that will benefit all stakeholders – not just shareholders but our customers – and we’re keen to continue to be at the forefront of the franchising game.”
To mark this acquisition, the company has opened its first Europa Coffee drive-thru in South Melbourne to capture city workers on their way to the office, passing lunchtime traffic, local coffee lovers and evening commuters going home, with their coffee ‘on-the-run’ proposition.
Steering away from the typical coffee and muffin combination with a more upmarket offering, the Europa Coffee drive-thru will be delivering brews from Ducale coffee, alongside breakfast options and gourmet lunchtime items including pastries, sandwiches, pies and much more.
With plans to adapt menu items to the Melbourne seasons, Europa Coffee will offer additional refreshing items during summer and warming food and drink options during the chilly Melbourne winter.
Colin Hirschman, Europa Coffee general manager, said it’s about adding value to the drive-thru concept and granting people the opportunity to enjoy something they love with added ease.
“Melburnians love coffee and want it on the go, so we’re providing café style coffee and food items at the consumer’s absolute convenience,” he said.
With the addition of Europa Coffee, FFCo now has 180 stores across six brands, including Cold Rock Ice Creamery, Pretzel World, Nutshack, Mr Whippy and recently acquired Trampoline Gelato.
