Sephora will be opening a second Australian store, at the Macquarie Centre in North Ryde, Sydney. Store construction has already commenced with the beauty mega store set to open its doors in September 2015.
The global beauty chain, owned by LVMH, has only one other store in Australia located in the iconic Pitt Street Mall in the Sydney CBD, and will be adding to its strong list of 2,000 stores worldwide.
Country manager Sephora Australia, Libby Amelia, says the beauty empire is thrilled to bring Sephora to Macquarie and offer Australian beauty-savvy shoppers more access to the exciting and entertaining world that is Sephora.
“Australia’s first Sephora store has been hugely successful and the demand for another store outside of the CBD has been high,” she says.
Sephora Australia has also confirmed plans to expand its footprint across the country, providing other states the same unique shopping experience that will be on offer to Macquarie Centre shoppers come September.
“I can’t confirm our next move just yet, but the brand is set to grow in Australia. For a long time, Australian beauty enthusiasts have been experiencing Sephora overseas, so we want to ensure we find the right location to ensure the brand heritage and DNA is always replicated.
“In every store around the world, Sephora customers receive the same unique shopping experience; it’s a place for discovery, sensuality, entertaining, and expertise,” Amelia adds.
The new Macquarie Centre store will be situated on Level 2 alongside other recently-launched international retailers including Zara, H&M and Forever 21.
Centre manager Kristina Carlsson says the addition of Sephora will be hugely beneficial to the centre.
“Sephora will offer Macquarie Centre shoppers another exciting experience when they visit the centre. Not only can they shop the best in fashion at Macquarie Centre, but they will also have one of the world’s most exciting beauty stores at their fingertips,” she says.
Sephora will stock more than 30 exclusive beauty brands such as Marc Jacobs Beauty, Tarte, Kat Von D, Cover Fx, Nudestix, Beauty Blender, Ole Henriksen, Formula X and its own private label Sephora Collection.
