Eats at The Well

A shopping precinct in the Melbourne suburb of Camberwell is bringing inner city eats to local shoppers with a charitable food pop-up.

The Well shopping centre’s Eats at The Well will feature some of Melbourne’s most sought after food operators. Custom-built kiosks will be placed in Burke Road laneway, which provides pedestrian access to the centre, and each vendor will sell a menu item that raises money for a local charity or community group.

First up is gourmet hot dog stand, Snag Society, which is raising funds for the Camberwell Salvation Army.

Danielle Sita, state marketing manager for The Well, said the installation will encourage visitors to relax and enjoy the best of Melbourne’s food scene without the inner city crowds.

“Rather than local shoppers and workers having to travel to seek out Melbourne’s best street food, we’ve brought it to them,” she said.

“We’re proud to further strengthen our precinct with Eats at The Well and see this revitalisation as means to continue to innovate the local retail and shopper experience.”

Eats at The Well launched on 15 March and will continue to run with food vendors changing regularly.
