Australian consumers are continuing to demand sustainable practices from companies and brands they support.
According to the First Insight Forum’s ‘The State of Consumer Spending’ report, consumers across all generations—from Baby Boomers to Gen Z—are now willing to spend more for sustainable products. Just two years ago, only 58% of consumers were willing to spend more for sustainable options. Today, nearly 90% of Gen X consumers said that they would be willing to spend an extra 10% or more for sustainable products, compared to just over 34% two years ago.
Embracing this important consumer trend, retail event, Life Instyle has dedicated its ‘The Neighbourhood’ area with a space called ‘Future Eden’ to showcase brands with a sustainability ethos and products that utilise re-used, re-purposed, recycled materials and limited waste impact.
Products that will be showcased include sustainable clothing from Eva Cassis, refillable and recyclable solid fragrances from Odesse and 100% sustainable drink bottles manufactured with zero carbon and zero waste from Worthy.
Life Instyle marketing manager, Annabelle Arch said, “It’s critical for us at Life Instyle to showcase products that are reflective of the major consumer trends, offering our visitors a curated group of brands and products that allow them to create a retail product offering that appeals to today’s consumer.
“The demand for sustainable and ethically sourced and manufactured products no longer appeals to a niche group of consumers, but to the mass. This is a good thing, not only for the planet, but for the Australian economy.”
Life Instyle is being held from 18th to 21st February 2023 at the ICC Sydney. Co-located with Reed Gift Fairs, tickets are complimentary upon registering. Visitors just need a current ABN. Register here.
