Determined to enable gift delivery 24 hours, seven days a week for her perishable gift delivery service, Australian female e-commerce co-founder Kelly Jamieson of Edible Blooms and her team created instantGift-it.
Jamieson is excited about the business efficiency and customer benefits of this new tech delivery platform designed to deliver gifts via email.
“One of the biggest blockers to customers utilising our gifting service is the ability to continue delivering perishable gifts in high-capacity times such as Mother’s Day, with the reliance on available couriers capacity only,” she said.
“We also need people to be available to accept their gift, along with the sender knowing exactly where they will be. It puts added pressure on us and our customers, which inhibits our ability to deliver gifts easily.”
Senders simply go to the Edible Blooms website, choose their favourite gift – for example a hamper, edible chocolate bouquet or high tea tower — and click Instant Gift (instead of Buy Now). All that is required is the recipient’s email address and click ready to pay. There is no need to add a physical address or a delivery date.
A notification will then be sent via email and the recipient is able to decide when and where they would like to receive their gift. Edible Blooms will then prepare the order and deliver it to where and when has been requested.
