KFC is bringing its Kentucky Fried Chicken to the Queensland suburb of Cannonvale, neighbouring Airlie Beach, with the opening of a new KFC restaurant at 16 Paluma Road.

To celebrate the opening of KFC Cannonvale, locals who visit the new restaurant on Saturday 6 July will have the chance to participate in a variety of events and win KFC merchandise, vouchers, $2.50 Go Bucket, and more.

The KFC restaurant is under the joint management of Darren Gunn and Drew Martin, both assuming the role of assistant restaurant manager and marking their first venture into KFC.

“The KFC Cannonvale team is delighted to welcome local KFC fans who can now get their hands on the Colonel’s Kentucky Fried Chicken. For locals who want to get their hands on the Colonel’s fried gold, head down to the grand opening on the 6 July,” Gunn and Martin said.

KFC Cannonvale has already created 50 new jobs for the local area and provides opportunities for team members to develop skills in customer service and teamwork. KFC offers both in-person and digital training initiatives to help team members during and outside of work.

From the first day, KFC offers team members an engaging training system that caters to every level within the business and is designed to help them grow during their time at KFC. Each employee begins with orientation training before being paired with a team coach who guides them through online learning and in-restaurant training to become fully certified.

As employees progress, they are offered opportunities to take on registered traineeships, participate in initiatives and enrol in a KFC-specific Diploma of Leadership and Management curriculum.  

KFC Cannonvale is open every day from 10am to 10pm.
