LinkedIn is partnering with Australian-founded skincare brand, frank body, to launch a new campaign across YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram and other online channels to help young women entering the workforce kick-start their careers with confidence.
LinkedIn data reveals that women lack confidence in the workplace when looking for a new job, with men 10% more confident in this area. The majority (59%) of women say that receiving a rejection knocks their confidence in comparison to 45% of men.
Through this campaign, LinkedIn and frank bodyhope to inspire young women to understand their worth in the workplace and enter their professional journeys with confidence.
To launch the campaign, LinkedInandfrank body have worked with seven female leaders in a content series titled ‘Off(ice) Script’ focused on platforming ‘frank’ advice for the next generation of professionals, showing them how a supportive network, expert knowledge and job opportunities can help unlock career confidence.
The experts include frank body and Willow and Blake co-founder, Bree Johnson, Haus of Dizzy founder and director, Kristy Dickinson, LinkedIn Australia career expert, Cayla Dengate, MECCA Brands head of talent acquisition, Jo Barr, Shameless Media head of business development, Rhiannon Joyce, personal branding expert, Rosie Chong and @TeamTANDA App creator and co-founder, Taz Zammit.
“My best tip for female graduates entering the workforce is to use all the superpowers that make you a great friend – forming connections, keeping in touch, asking great questions – and applying that to networking,” Dengate said.
“When a door closes, look for a window.Everyone’s path will be different, and it might feel like you have to go backwards to go forwards. If you don’t feel like you fit anywhere, maybe you need to build the business you want to work in,” Johnson said.
“My top tip to a graduate getting into the workforce is be curious. It’s amazing what can happen if you are curious and committed. Entry-level roles can lead into your dream job if you utilise the opportunity. Don’t fixate on a narrow role. Be as open-minded as you can as you may learn so much from a role you may not have considered. It may open your eyes to even more career options,” Barr said.
To help graduates get a head start on their careers, there’s a series of LinkedIn Learning courses throughout the campaign duration. The audience also has the chance to win prizes by engaging with the campaign, including six-month LinkedIn Premium subscriptions, frank body packs, and access to one-on-one mentoring sessions with experts.
