Leading UK outdoor retailer, Mountain Warehouse has opened its fourth Melbourne store, located at The Glen Shopping Centre in Glen Waverly. The opening is part of an expansion plan to bring great value outdoor gear to adventurers across Australia, with the retailer opening a total of five locations since its Brisbane debut earlier this year.
Established in 1997, Mountain Warehouse operates 397 stores and multiple websites across nine countries. The expansion follows the success of the retailer’s Australian website launched in 2017 and its continued growth in New Zealand, currently its third largest market with 24 stores.
The store features men’s, women’s, and kids’ wear, as well as footwear and equipment, in addition to wetsuits, sandals and backpacks.
Mountain Warehouse founder and CEO, Mark Neale (pictured) said, “We’re delighted to be opening another new store in Australia after the continuous success of our previous launches. We know Australians love exploring the great outdoors, so we are excited to bring our passion for adventure and great value gear for all the family here.”
The opening of the store has created 20 new jobs in the area.
