Tapping into the rapidly growing $45 billion e-commerce market, Vinnies Victoria has launched an online retail platform – Vinnies Online. Having previously sold select products online via eBay and Depop, Vinnies Onlines’ entire online store is now available via one direct web address.
With Gen Alpha’s preference for digital first experiences and the evolving retail landscape, Vinnies’ online platform represents a new direction in their commercial innovation.
“Our Vinnies customer has been asking for this shopping option, and we have listened to them,” Vinnies Victoria head of merchandise and retail innovation, Liz Randle said. “The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the vulnerability of relying solely on physical locations for revenue and we realised we needed to evolve. With e-commerce now comprising 22% of retail sales, it was critical to respond to our customers’ needs and meet them where they are at.”
The Vinnies Online platform offers categories such as clothing, home decor, electrical, beauty, toys, manchester, tech and entertainment and customers can add products to a cart with options for direct shipping or click-and-collect.
