Aramex Australia delivered over 450,000 more parcels this festive season compared to 2018, and over two million more parcels for the full year.
Aramex CEO Peter Lipinski said couriers across Australia are now gearing up for the post-Christmas rush of returns and another busy year meeting growing delivery demand.
“It’s no secret that Australians love online shopping and this is driving exceptional growth and demand in the transport sector,” he said. “This Christmas was a record year for us at Aramex with almost half a million more parcels delivered in December than what was delivered in December 2018.”
The courier service has also revealed that the top five delivery areas during December were Sydney, Melbourne, Port Macquarie, Surry Hills and Toowoomba.
“E-commerce has completely changed how we shop, and it’s transformed Australia’s peak retail and delivery season. Christmas may have passed but for couriers and many businesses across Australia, we’re sure the delivery demand will continue this month with a surge in returns of online shopping purchases. At Aramex, we’re ready for another big year meeting the growing delivery demand in Australia,” Lipinski said.
Aramex is currently in the pilot stage of a new click and collect service with some of its partners and exploring different ways to provide even more convenience. “Aramex is committed to delivering for businesses of any size, so we’re structuring our pricing to suit not only our large-scale corporate customers, but also smaller companies just beginning their e-commerce journey.”
