Guzman y Gomez’s network sales increased in the fiscal third quarter amid the opening of three new restaurants in Australia and two in the US.
The Mexican fast food chain’s network sales rose 23.6 per cent year over year to $289.5 million with Australia sales growing 23 per cent to $267.6 million.
Singapore sales climbed 33.9 per cent to $16.6 million while Japan sales soared 23.5 per cent to $2.1 million.
US sales surged 23.1 per cent to $3.2 million.
During the period, the company introduced a new menu item, Street Corn, and expanded its 24/7 trading.
For the full fiscal year, the company forecasts 31 restaurant openings in Australia, including 18 franchise and 13 corporate stores.
