Swedish fashion giant H & M will be launching its first-ever Australian outlet store, which will showcase its sustainable garment collecting initiative.
The global fashion icon will open its first Australian Factory Outlet at Liverpool’s Fashion Spree on Thursday 16th August, just years after the first H & M was opened in Melbourne.
The store will span 345sqm and will include H & M’s garment collecting initiative, in which customers can recycle garments to support the sustainable reuse of fabric.
The announcement is a win for sustainability, with customers able to drop off old clothing or fabric, of any brand or in any condition, to the store in exchange for a voucher towards a new purchase.
“We are excited to be welcoming this iconic global brand to Fashion Spree. This will be a must-visit for Sydney’s fashionistas,” said Felicity Kendall, Fashion Spree’s Senior Marketing Manager.
H&M’s business concept is based on offering affordable and quality fashion in the most sustainable way. Since opening in 1947, H&M has become one of the world’s leading fashion companies.
