Footwear retailer, Hush Puppies is opening a new store in Westfield Southland in Cheltenham, VIC on Thursday with scheduled launch activity on Friday and Saturday. Shoppers who attend the opening will be treated to a popcorn cart, prize wheel and a range of freebies and giveaways. Every customer who purchases something during the launch will also receive a free tote bag.
Hush Puppies brand manager, Charlene Perera said the team is excited to open the retailer’s eighth store in Westfield Southland with its latest store design.
“Our new store concept has been designed to close the gap between the customer and our Hush Puppies team members by placing a greater focus on service,” Perera told Retailbiz.
“We have ditched the old-fashioned cash register to give our new team members the ability to roam around the store more freely, assisting customers check out from where they are sitting in store and break down that barrier.
“We know that our product knowledge and service is what sets us apart from other retailers, so we wanted to feature it more prominently in our stores. It’s a space where we hope our customers will feel our warm, casual and friendly brand culture.”
Hush Puppies has four existing stores in VIC and three stores in NSW.
