In December, The Reject Shop confirmed Andre Reich as CEO, effective 13 January 2020. He brings more than 25 years of experience, most recently in the role of COO at Wesfarmers for Target Australia and prior to that as general manager of merchandise & marketing at Kmart Australia.
In its most recent trading update, The Reject Shop confirmed a positive shift of comparable sales performance from -2.5 per cent for the second half of FY19 to 0.3 per cent in the first 15 weeks of FY2020.
The company said momentum had been achieved through everyday low prices on leading branded products, daily essentials and household general merchandise as well as new product refreshed regularly.
Further work with the range and customer experience was acknowledged but the company claimed to have fundamentally repositioned itself.
