Japanese global apparel retailer, Uniqlo, will open its eighth store in New South Wales at Castle Towers this December. This follows the recent Uniqlo store opening at Westfield Hurstville, which attracted 1,770 locals, with similar crowds expected at the Castle Towers opening.
The Castle Towers store, spanning 1,313 square meters, will be situated alongside international and Australian brands, and is set to create more than 60 jobs for the local region.
Uniqlo Australia chief operating officer, Kensuke Suwa believes the retailer’s success in the market will continue in 2020. “Throughout 2019, Uniqlo has continued to grow its retail footprint in the Australian market. We hope to keep the momentum going in 2020 and look forward to making the brand even more accessible in Australia.
“The opening of our eighth site in New South Wales at Castle Towers demonstrates our commitment to creating a stronger understanding around our LifeWear message among Australians by offering exemplary customer service alongside high quality, everyday essential apparel at an affordable price point.”
Castle Towers centre manager, Eddie Paynter said the team remains committed to offering a best-in-class selection of brands for the centre’s loyal customers across all categories including fashion, food, home and lifestyle.
“The arrival of Uniqlo demonstrates the strength of Castle Towers to attract globally relevant brands as part of its ongoing evolution that will appeal to the Hills District,” he said.
Uniqlo Castle Towers will take the retailer’s store count to 22 in Australia.
