Vodafone Australia is preparing to carve out a greater share of the national business market for mobile voice and data products and services, recently signing an exclusive outbound sales agreement with Allphones.
Allphones has recruited and deployed a dedicated and highly trained outbound sales team that will focus on connecting more customers to Vodafone’s Business Cap with Mobile Office – the only multiple user cap that allows employees to share the value of a single plan, while delivering free calls within the business user group, free voicemail, and landline-to-mobile extension dialling.
Allphones will capitalise on the burgeoning business market for BlackBerry and Windows Mobile Email solutions. It will also sell Vodafone USB modem and data card hardware and data bundles to enable customers to connect to mobile broadband or mobile internet, depending on their coverage area.
“SMEs represent the highest growth opportunity in the Australian telco market with companies now embracing the advantages of mobile communications at virtually every level in their organisations,” says Julian Ogrin, business sales director at Allphones.
“Our retail outlets already account for one in ten handset sales in Australia, and the creation of our new, outbound sales team means we’re very well positioned to service the requirements of Australian business customers.”
The co-branded Allphones and Vodafone SME-focused channel will open for business immediately in New South Wales and Western Australia, and roll out to all other states by the end of 2007.
