Milton is about to get a retail boost with City Winery’s small-format wine bar concept, Ardo’s, and Club Pilates signing up to open this year in The Ambrose luxury residential building in a leasing deal struck by Colliers.
Designed by renowned Australian architects Cottee Parker, Kokoda Property’s The Ambrose features 175 luxury apartments boosting views of the Brisbane City, Mt Cootha and the Brisbane River. Colliers Queensland leasing agents Ishbel Jones and Chloe Lonergan have exclusively leased the ground floor to Ardo’s and Club Pilates on the street frontage of McDougall Street.
Colliers Queensland senior executive retail leasing, Ishbel Jones said this was a great retail boost for the area. “Ardo’s will occupy a 90 square metre space and Club Pilates will occupy 100 square metres, with fit outs currently underway.
The emergence of Milton as a popular precinct owes to it being a natural extension of the CBD and close to transport and entertainment, in immediate proximity to Suncorp Stadium. Nationally, we are seeing a real scarcity for quality retail locations, with demand and enquiry from both local and interstate operators at a high.”
Colliers Queensland executive retail leasing, Chloe Lonergan said The Ambrose presented a great opportunity for retailers to become part of the well-connected and densely populated suburb of Milton.
“Milton’s riverside is one of the highest density employment areas in Brisbane, benefiting from its close proximity to the CBD and accessibility, Milton is emerging as one of Brisbane’s fastest growing suburbs,” she said.
“The local community will be able to enjoy the popular Ardo’s winery, which has already established its success in the suburbs of Newstead, Hawthorne and Graceville. We look forward to seeing the ground floor come to life with the synergy of these tenants and watch the uplift of activity on McDougall Street unfold.”
