The Cancer Council is encouraging retailers to join the fight against cancer by stocking up on yellow merchandising boxes prior to Friday August 27 containing fundraising products for Daffodil Day.
The yellow merchandising boxes contain small essentials and accessories emblazoned with the charity’s signature daffodil flower or yellow hue, and every box represents $270 that goes towards the cause of finding a cure.
Merchandising boxes include tax deductible donation cards ranging from $5 to $20, new key rings priced at $7, the ever-popular Daffodil Day pens for $5, soccer balls for $7, diamantes priced at $10 and this year’s collectable Dougal Bear for $10 who comes dressed in a yellow hoodie, championing the charity’s signature colour.
Retailers wanting to order a box to sell in-store should either visit www.daffodilday.com.au or phone 1300 656 585.
Cancer remains one of Australia’s biggest health problems and is expected to claim the lives of 43,000 Australians in 2010 alone.
