Catalogue Central has appointed former seek.com.au product development manager, Susan Teschner, to lead its product development and operations teams.

Teschner will be responsible for maximising Catalogue Central’s online exposure to the retail audience and enhancing the user experience, enabling the company to increase its market growth in the online advertising space.

General manager of Catalogue Central, Matt Berriman, said Teschner’s hire will further strengthen its value proposition as well as demonstrate its vital role in the marketing mix for Australia’s leading retailers.

“This year has been a turning point for online, with retailers seizing the opportunity to cost-effectively communicate to their audiences during the critical pre-purchase period,” he said.

“Susan’s extensive experience in product development will ensure we continue to effectively communicate to the online catalogue user.”

Catalogue Central has recently signed on a number of new brands such as Kmart, Sanity, Clark Rubber, Forty Winks, Shock Records and QBD bookstores in a bid to capitalise on the surge in online catalogue traffic pre-Christmas.
