Country Road has opened its latest flagship store in the heart of Ballarat in the Central Highlands of Victoria.
Moving into the building originally constructed for the Ballarat Savings Bank, the store design hinges on the coming together of old and new, seamlessly blending the charm of the past with a vision for the future.
Ballarat-based architecture and interior design studio, Moloney Architects helped bring the new store to life. Designed to celebrate the best of modern Australian living, store elements have been sourced from local makers and are complemented by colour palettes reflecting the Australian landscape.
The regional flagship is a testament to the brand’s dedication to innovation and responsible design with energy efficient technologies, recycled materials and waste reduction initiatives.
Country Road managing director, Elle Roseby expressed her excitement about the store opening, saying: “Country Road Ballarat is more than a store; it’s a celebration of Australian heritage, craftsmanship, and sustainability. We’re delighted to invite the Ballarat community to experience this unique retail destination.”
Moloney Architects co-founder, Mick Moloney commented, “We’re proud to have contributed to the transformation of this historic space into Country Road’s new flagship store. Our collaboration with Country Road reflects our commitment to blending heritage and innovation seamlessly and we’re thrilled to see the fusion of old and new come to life.”
