Kathmandu has re-opened its Riccarton store following the New Zealand earthquake on 22 February where it was forced to close.

After the earthquake, the New Zealand-based company said its head office, distribution centre and retail stores were affected by the earthquake. Following inspections, its head office as well as its largest store in Tower Junction soon resumed operation.

The only remaining store yet to re-open is on Cashel Street.

The company said in a statement to the Australian Securities Exchange that the store remains “closed indefinitely” as it is located within the “civil defence prescribed central city red zone”.
