KFC is bringing its Kentucky Fried Chicken to the Queensland suburb of Dakabin with the opening of a new restaurant.

To celebrate the grand opening of KFC Dakabin, locals who visit the new restaurant on Saturday 3 August, will have the chance to participate in events and win KFC merchandise, vouchers, and more.

The latest KFC restaurant to open is led by Hazel Perez and Holly Marshall, Erin Lowe and Melissa Chandra will take on the role of assistant restaurant manager.

“The KFC Dakabin team is delighted to welcome local KFC fans who can now get their hands on the Colonel’s delicious Kentucky Fried Chicken For locals who want to get their hands on the Colonel’s fried gold from the comfort of their home, delivery will also be available,” Perez said.

KFC Dakabin has already created 74 new jobs for the local area, providing opportunities for new team members to develop skills in customer service and teamwork. KFC seeks to nurture personal development by offering both in-person and digital training initiatives to help team members be their best selves, make a difference and have fun both during and outside of work.

KFC offers all team members an engaging training system that caters to every level within the business and is designed to help them grow during their time at KFC. Each employee begins with the orientation training before being paired with a team coach who guides them through a combination of online learning and in-restaurant training to become fully certified.

As employees progress in their KFC career, they are also offered opportunities to take on registered traineeships, participate in a range of initiatives and enrol in a KFC-specific Diploma of Leadership and Management curriculum.
