KFC has brought its famous Kentucky Fried Chicken to the suburb of Underwood, Queensland with a new restaurant, owned and operated by Collins Foods.
KFC Underwood has created 54 new jobs for the local area, providing opportunities for team members to develop skills in customer service and teamwork. Led by Lexi who has many years of experience with KFC, having previously worked at the Sunnybank restaurant, Angel and Kuhailan have stepped into the roles of assistant restaurant managers.
“The KFC Underwood team is delighted to welcome local KFC fans who can now get their hands on the Colonel’s delicious Kentucky Fried Chicken. The new restaurant is a great location for locals and those travelling through town,” Lexi said.
“For locals who want to get their hands on the Colonel’s Kentucky Fried Chicken from the comfort of their home, delivery will be available through the KFC app, Doordash, and Menulog.”
KFC seeks to nurture personal development by offering both in-person and digital training initiatives to help team members be their best selves, make a difference and have fun.
From the first day, KFC offers team members an engaging training system that caters to every level within the business and is designed to help them grow. Each employee begins with orientation training before being paired with a team coach who guides them through a combination of online learning and in-restaurant training to become fully certified.
As employees progress in their KFC career, they are also offered opportunities to take on registered traineeships, participate in a range of initiatives and enrol in a KFC-specific Diploma of Leadership and Management curriculum.
The new KFC Underwood is open every day from 10am to 10pm.
