A Kleenmaid direct clearance centre is opening at Banksmeadow in Sydney’s south. Compass Capital Partners, which acquired the rights to the Kleenmaid brand late last year, will officially open a Kleenmaid direct clearance centre on Saturday February 20, giving consumers access to $2 million worth of Kleenmaid appliances.
"We are delighted that people can purchase the high quality products that are manufactured under the Kleenmaid brand," said Compass CEO, Danny Hamilton. "Our immediate aim is to try and help consumers that have been affected by the collapse of the Kleenmaid group.
"Although we have no direct association with the Kleenmaid company that is in liquidation, we are prepared to assist people who lost their deposits or warranties, or are waiting for orders that were placed before Kleenmaid went into liquidation."
Compass can also provide two year warranties on selected products purchased from the former Kleenmaid group of companies that are in liquidation, with details available on the website www.kleenmaidappliances.com.au. Any purchase of new Kleenmaid products includes a two-year manufacturers warranty.
Compass has also formed new associations with the former Kleenmaid technical and services personnel and can offer a complete service offering to all Kleenmaid customers. The company is also negotiating with major national retailers to sell Kleenmaid appliances through retailing outlets by mid-year.
Compass is sourcing its products from European manufactures that have been supplying Kleenmaid products for several years.
"Our plan is based around restoring the brand,"said Hamilton. "More than 1.2 million products have been sold in Australia over the past 25 years and we believe that we can successfully re-launch a quality brand which has a very loyal following across the country."
