Australian fashion retailer, the Cotton On Group will launch a multi-level flagship superstore on Cavill Avenue in Surfers Paradise on Friday 26 June, creating an elevated shopping experience in the one-stop-shop for Queenslanders.
The 2,150 square metre superstore will feature a number of Cotton On Group brands, with Cotton On, Cotton On Body and Rubi spread across the ground and first floors, and the second floor dedicated entirely to Cotton On Kids, including one of the largest spaces for FREE by Cotton On (sizes 9 to 14), a section for newborn apparel and a fun play zone for young kids and the young-at-heart to enjoy.
“We listen to our customers and go where they go. Surfers Paradise is a destination for our customer, so the decision was simple to open our new multi-level flagship superstore on Cavill Avenue. We wanted to ensure we were offering our customer the best possible shopping experience so tourists can make visiting us part of their vacation and we can become a destination for our local customer,” explains Cotton On Global General Manager, Felicity McGahan.
Providing customers with a unique integrated shopping experience, the new superstore will reflect Cotton On’s laidback, modern Australian style and will feature convenient phone charging stations, free WIFI and plenty of seating for those who want to take a break in between exploring each floor.
“Shopping needs to be fun and we think we’ve been able to capture that in our new store design. From free WIFI to mobile phone charge stations, we've considered what our customers need when they’re out and about and we wanted to make the store a destination, somewhere they can come and hang out with their friends,” said Ms McGahan.
Designed and constructed entirely by Cotton On’s in-house team, the Surfers Paradise flagship superstore will showcase the new look and future direction of Cotton On’s store design, with exposed brick and concrete, as well as timber used throughout. Outside the store, customers and passers-by will be able to purchase Cotton On Foundation bottled water and Cotton On flip flops around the clock from vending machines.
Cotton On opened its first multi-level store in Granville, Hong Kong in 2012, followed by Adelaide’s Rundle Mall and Brisbane CBD, and plans to roll out the concept in Melbourne as well as in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Cotton On Store Designer Grace Lim said, “The multi-level concept has proven to be a great way to engage customers and really elevate the shopping experience, providing unique opportunities to surprise and delight while creating an element of theatre within the architecture”.

Cotton On Surfers Paradise is located at 27-29 Cavill Avenue and opens at 9:00am on Friday 26 June 2015. Customers will be treated to exclusive promotions, competitions and entertainment on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 June 2015.
