Canadian-born, technical outdoor apparel brand, Arc’teryx has opened its first NSW store at Bondi Junction in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
Sydney is home to a large portion of the Arc’teryx Australian consumer base, given the proximity to locations such as the Blue Mountains and Kosciuszko National Park.
With a focus on innovative design and durability, Arc’teryx is known for its high-function gear and apparel, as well as its community-focused, environmentally conscious ethos.
“We’ve been serving the Australian outdoor community for over a decade, but the store will afford us the opportunity to connect on an even more impactful level. Sydney has been identified as the Australian hub for the brand, and we’re excited to help our community get out there and experience the New South Wales outdoors, preserving it in the process,” Arc’teryx Australia marketing manager, Hayden Stevens said.
Arc’teryx’s garments are made using ethically and sustainably sourced, hyper-durable materials, with free repairs available for all garments. Arc’teryx’s ReBird program refurbishes pre-loved garments and diverts waste fabric and materials to create new products. Every order placed through Arc’teryx is delivered for free using carbon neutral delivery.
Furthering its commitment to sustainability, the Bondi Junction store has been constructed with a carbon neutral build and offers on-site repairs.
Though the brand itself launched in 1989, Arc’teryx opened its first Australian store in Melbourne’s CBD in 2019. Taking a similar approach, the Bondi Junction store is a visual celebration of the New South Wales landscape designed to inspire shoppers to get outside and equip them with the necessary apparel.
As well as showcasing Arc’teryx’s range, the Bondi Junction store will act as the base for a series of community events such as a ski night, climbing party and group trail run, with plans to connect with more local businesses, athletes and networks.
