Australia’s leading retailer of sporting equipment, clothing, and footwear, rebel has opened its first customer experience store in South Australia located at Rundle Mall.
It is the ninth Australian experience store to be rolled out nationally and the first flagship CBD experience store in Australia. The major expansion and redesign of rebel Rundle Mall now sees the store housed over three levels, increasing in size by 80%.
The new store offers the latest in global sporting looks and state-of-the-art technology, as well as incorporating interactive zones. In the basement, customers will find the Home of Football where they can try on the latest football boots and test them out on an interactive projected wall featuring games such as ‘rebel Football Smash’ and ‘Beat the Goalie’.
On the ground floor, women’s apparel takes centre stage with ranges from smaller Australian brands such as Nimble sitting alongside global favourites including Nike, Adidas and Under Armour. On the same floor the Energy Zone will bring to life the latest products from the biggest sporting brands each month.
On level one, the Home of Basketball allows customers to shoot hoops on a customised basketball court with mural backdrop of Lauren Jackson designed by local artist Sam Brooks and Mike Sander. Level one also features World of Running where customers can test out an array of shoes with the help of rebel footwear experts, to ensure they are the right fit and style before they buy.
rebel state retail manager for VIC, TAS and SA, Phil Grillo said, “We are thrilled to open our first flagship CBD experience store in Adelaide that will inspire customers to chase their sporting dreams and passion, which is the ethos of what we do at rebel. The new rebel flagship CBD experience store focuses on digital innovation, inspiring customers at every available touch point throughout the store that brings the shopping experience to life.”
