Stockland Balgowlah shopping centre at The Village recently opened its doors to more than over 17,000 people on opening day and 90,571 during the opening week.
“We’re delighted at the overwhelming response from customers about the new centre,” said Stockland Balgowlah centre manager, Felicity Armstrong.
“The feedback on the 50 new specialty stores and new look Coles Supermarket has been fantastic with many stores reporting record sales during the opening week.”
The new shopping centre includes a new look Coles supermarket and fashion retailers such as Sportscraft, Veronika Maine, Witchery and Laura Ashley.
“The opening of the new centre will help meet the everyday shopping needs of Balgowlah residents, by providing a fantastic range of stores and retail amenities with the convenience of a neighbourhood shopping centre,” she said.
Stockland will soon open the podium level of the centre which will include a lifestyle precinct, cafés, restaurants and a platinum Fitness First.
“We’ve created a convenient and contemporary shopping centre but retained Balgowlah’s strong community focus – the centre is somewhere you can shop and relax with friends.”
The opening Stockland Balgowlah is the first phase of a greater Stockland development which on completion will encompass 240 residential apartments, 50 retail stores and Coles supermarket, a platinum fitness first and café and lifestyle precinct.
