Sushi Jiro in Westfield Carousel is now home to Perth’s largest sushi train, measuring 114 metres and accommodating 126 guests – setting a new standard in Perth’s Japanese dining scene, offering an immersive and engaging experience.

The new location is the first Sushi Jiro restaurant in Perth and comes after the Japanese restaurant brand unveiled the largest sushi train in the southern hemisphere at Brisbane’s Westfield Chermside.

Sushi Jiro, CEO Anna Kasman said that her and the team are excited to continue their Australian expansion with the first Perth Sushi Jiro restaurant in Westfield Carousel.

“Opening our first Perth Sushi Jiro Sushi Train has been a long time coming, and we couldn’t be more excited and prouder to be on the other side of the country. It is a significant step for us and marks a huge milestone in our national expansion plans.

“We are excited to establish a strong presence in Perth, and when debating our first location, Westfield Carousel just made sense. It is a prime area that attracts a diverse and large customer base, offering excellent visibility and accessibility for introducing Sushi Jiro to a new market.”

Diners can expect a wide variety of freshly prepared sushi and a la carte options crafted by skilled chefs and delivered to each table via sushi train and sushi robots. The new restaurant blends traditional and modern elements of sushi making, highlighting both time-honoured techniques and contemporary flavours and ingredients.

“As seen across our restaurants in Victoria and Queensland, we always use traditional methods of developing, preparing, cooking and serving our creations, and we’re always bringing new and exciting, more modern flavours to the table,” Kasman said

The next Sushi Jiro restaurant in the works is the renovation of Sushi Jiro Emporium in Victoria, transforming it from a takeaway concept into a full sushi train with robots.
