Online marketplace eBay has launched a new ‘Under $20’ shopping destination on its Australian site in an effort to draw shoppers to the platform.
The feature launched with over two million items across more than a dozen categories including tech, apparel, fitness, beauty, and home décor.
In a few clicks, shoppers can browse and purchase from a rotating assortment of products under $20, then enjoy free delivery of their items. To make shopping even easier, the products are divided into groups like ‘gift ideas under $5’ and ‘kitchen gadgets under $10’.
EBay Australia and New Zealand managing director Tim MacKinnon said the feature is another example of eBay using smart technology, as it did with the ‘find it on eBay’ image search.
“We’re excited to launch another feature that makes buying and searching for products on eBay.com.au easier than ever before,” he said. “Under $20 allows our shoppers to discover our most affordable items at first-click, and have them delivered to their doors for free.”
To celebrate the launch, eBay is offering $10 off purchases from the Under $20 range for new eBay members or existing members who have not made a purchase on the site in the past year.
