Little Archer & Co founder, Denise Billsborough started her business in 2017 while she was pregnant and searching for baby-related items. She was overwhelmed by the options and vast amount of information available, making it difficult to make informed decisions.

Determined to create a trustworthy resource for parents, Denise founded her business, offering only items she would use and love as a mother. When launching her business, she initially found the options for warehousing and fulfillment overwhelming.

However, Amazon made the process easy and more cost-effective. Selling on Amazon also enabled Denise to expand into international markets, including the UK.

“I wouldn’t have been able to grow my business in the same way without Amazon. Fulfilment By Amazon takes a lot of the headaches away, which otherwise, I might find too hard and give up,” Denise told Retailbiz in a recent interview.

“Never would I have thought it would be possible to sell my product in the UK, if it wasn’t for Amazon. There are still challenges, for example, understanding VAT and compliance rules, but the UK market wouldn’t have even been a consideration if I had to do it all by myself.”

Denise has embraced being able to sell products she’s passionate about and meeting people in the same space. “Having the picking, packing and posting all done for you is what makes this model work so well. If I had to store and ship all my products every time an order was placed, I’d have to hire staff, and I just don’t think it would be financially viable.”

Having access to Amazon’s fulfilment network has been key in better managing inventory, delivery, returns and customer service. “On their own, these tasks are huge and there’s so many moving parts. Having a one stop shop for this makes everything achievable,” she said.

“Fulfilment By Amazon has enabled me to expand on my product range since first starting out, increase orders and reach new markets. My customers are happy, and I can offer an amazing product at a competitive price, without having to compromise on safety or quality.”
