JB Hi-Fi will enhance its in store point of sale system by integrating it with its online payment processing system, which is delivered by financial services company ThinkSmart.

The contract between JB Hi-Fi and ThinkSmart has been extended a further three years and will include New Zealand operations.

The arrangement includes incorporating ThinkSmart’s QuickSmart online system with in store point of sales systems by giving customers access to e-signature and paperless in store capability, by April 2012.

According to ThinkSmart, the QuickSmart online processing system has helped deliver a 60 per cent reduction in customer processing times since 2009.

“Enhancing customer experience is paramount in driving both in store and online sales,” said ThinkSmart CEO Ned Montarello. “These initiatives are designed to do that.”

JB Hi-Fi CEO Terry Smart said: “We’ve been working with ThinkSmart since 2007 and we were very happy to extend our agreement with them through to 2014.”

“We remain focussed on providing the highest level of service to our customers.”
