Thanks to key product categories and celebrity influence, Okanui apparel reported an exceptional spike in sales for November and December 2024, with the brand achieving a year-on-year (YoY) increase of 75% across its entire business.
Online sales surged by 136% YoY, while retail sales grew by 41%, reflecting the strong demand for Okanui’s premium products and the brand’s ability to adapt to a rapidly changing retail environment.
During these peak months, several product categories were particularly popular including pieces such as the men’s classic shorts and the hibiscus print swim shorts. The Women’s Navy Common Knit jumper also continued to see strong demand, selling out three times during this period.
Another vintage trend that has seen a huge comeback this summer is the Terry Towelling Collection, which includes Men’s Terry Towelling Shirts and Shorts in three colours and the Women’s Terry Overswim, both of which were highly sought after.
Okanui also experienced a significant increase in interest due to high-profile celebrity endorsements by Hugh Jackman, triggering a surge in sales and web traffic for the Navy Hibiscus Classic Shorts.
Okanui CEO Simon Kasprowicz said: “We’re thrilled with our sales growth over the past two months during such a key retail period. We feel the results reflect both the quality of our products and the trust our customers place in the Okanui brand.”
“We’re excited to see such a positive response from both new and returning customers,” Kasprowicz continued.
“While celebrity endorsements from the likes of Hugh Jackman being spotted in our limited edition Gotcha4Life Classic Shorts certainly help amplify our brand, it’s ultimately our ongoing dedication to quality and the connection we have with our customers as an Australian family-owned business that drives our success.
