Online retailer SurfStich has opened a dedicated headquarter in France, which includes an 8,000 square metre purpose built distribution centre, to mark the launch of the business’ European operations.
SurfStich founders Justin Cameron and Lex Pedersen have identified a European-based expansion as a major focus after selling up to 10,000 items per day to the Australian and international market.
“We’ve tried and tested this model in Australia, and have also been serving customers globally from the very beginning. With SurfStitch now also located in Europe, customers can expect an even stronger online retail experience – from a seamlessly designed and stunningly visual website, to SurfStitch’s industry leading shopping and delivery experience,” said SurfStitch’s managing director Justin Cameron.
SurfStitch has set up its European base in Hossegor on the Atlantic coast of southwest France, an area known for world famous surf breaks and a one hour drive to the Pyrenees Mountains. This is fitting for a business defined by a love of the coastal and mountain lifestyle.
Launched with 150 of the top surf, mountain and fashion brands, SurfStitch Europe will offer the same customer service proposition that is offered to its Australian customers. It aims to offer 500 brands to the European market in 2013.
