Global technology company, Zoho has grown new customers by 19% and revenue by 18% in Australia, as it renews its commitment to partnerships, product innovation, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

Announced on the fringes of Zoholics, the company’s annual user conference, Zoho also announced a series of strategic partnerships with SA Leaders, Cyber Wardens and local government councils, among others, to provide current and prospective business owners with critical technology, insights and support.

Zoho head of Australia and New Zealand, Rakesh Prabhakar said, “Since arriving in Australia over five years ago, the market has grown from strength-to-strength for Zoho; and now represents one of our fastest-growing globally.

“But as we continue our strong and sustained growth in the region, we don’t want that to come at the expense of either our communities or our founding principles. So that’s why a focus on social responsibility and local partnerships underpins our entire strategy in Australia, as we seek to empower local businesses with the tools, insights, and support to start and scale thriving businesses.

“Since opening our new office in Adelaide earlier this year, we’ve built out our go to market team. Doing so in the thriving South Australian capital, rather than in traditional hubs like Sydney or Melbourne, aligns with our transnational localism strategy, through which we put down deep roots in areas not traditionally served by major technology companies. In doing so, it enables us to better support the burgeoning local business and innovation sector both in Adelaide and nationwide. We’re committed to hiring local talent, strengthening our partner networks, and tailoring our product to the thriving Australian business community.”

Australia has been among Zoho’s top 10 markets for the last decade, but since formally arriving in the country in 2019, growth has accelerated. Over the last three years, Zoho achieved a 22.33% compound annual growth rate (CAGR), while in the last year, both customers (19%) and revenue (18%) grew steadily. During the same period, Zoho’s local headcount has grown by 56% with plans to double the team in the next three years.

A key foundation of Zoho’s strategy in regional markets is establishing strong partner networks. Since the start of 2021, Zoho has more than doubled its partner network, growing it by 131%. Its network of resellers, distributors, implementation partners, platform partners, systems integrators and ISVs provide services such as data migration, third-party integrations and custom applications.
