From humble beginnings in 2014 working with a handful of fashion and homeware boutiques in Sydney’s Surry Hills, Shippit now powers delivery for thousands of retailers of all sizes across Australia and New Zealand.
Most recently, Shippit has partnered with Australia’s largest postal network to integrate Australia Post My Business, which will be live and available to customers in November. Through this integration, retailers using Shippit can seamlessly connect with MyPost Business to automate tasks and reduce manual fulfilment by up to 30%.
Easily connected with major ecommerce platforms, the integration gives retailers a better and faster way to automate tasks such as managing orders, printing shipping labels and booking out-of-home delivery services, like pick-ups or drop-off collection points.
With no eligibility criteria and up to five bands of savings on eligible products and services, Australia Post’s MyPost Business account is an ideal parcel-sending option for smaller-volume senders. Through Shippit’s agnostic carrier network, retailers will be able to drive loyalty by offering customers multiple delivery options at checkout, as well as consistent and predictable tracking experiences.
“Adding another layer to our already strong partnership with Australia Post is exciting and represents the latest move in our commitment to continue evolving and producing new products that will revolutionise the logistics industry and create a better delivery experience for our customers,” Shippit co-founder and co-CEO, Rob Hango-Zadasaid.
“Running a retail business isn’t easy, but every task and process that can be automated enables businesses to save time and spend it on more valuable tasks. This is particularly the case for smaller, less complex retail businesses. Time is money for them, and through this integration – and our unwavering desire to streamline and enhance every aspect of the supply chain that connects retailers, couriers and consumers – we’re allowing businesses to run smarter, more cost- and time-effective operations.”
The new integration allows Shippit to continue to bring retailers, carriers and customers together in the leanest way possible because having the right technology stack makes running a retail business easier.
