And the winner is . . .

Carr Design Group has been named the 2006 Fly Forbo & Fly to Europe competition winner for producing an office tenancy that offers the right balance between function and visual appeal.

The team was praised for the strong contemporary design, supported by the use of three Forbo products, environmentally sound Forbo Furniture Linoleum and Marmoleum Walton, part of the Marmoleum Global 2 collection of natural linoleum products, as well as SafeSTEP safety flooring.

“Effectively adopting new technologies and driven by the dual objectives of reduced energy bills and lower staff turnover, the challenge for Carr was to create an office fit-out for property developer Equiset which achieved sustainability as a priority, integrating people friendliness and common sense design,” says Daniel Stellini, director of Carr Design Group.

The Fly Forbo & Fly to Europe competition, run in conjunction with the Interior Design Awards, recognises outstanding use of Forbo products in design innovation.
