Crown Entertainment has installed 548 Panasonic high-definition commercial plasma display panels throughout Crown Towers hotel and Crown Casino.

The plasma screens are installed in all of Crown Towers’ 482 luxury hotel rooms – a total of 22 42-inch screens and two 50-inch screens per floor. The screens are connected to Crown’s ‘Movie Link’ service, showing in-room movies and cable free-to-air television channels.

A 65-inch HD (high definition) commercial screen is mounted in the Food Hall of Crown Casino’s shopping complex and 42-inch and 50-inch HD screens will be used as digital signage on the Casino’s gaming floors, running promotional videos as well as major sporting events.

Talis Stern, Project Manager, Crown Casino, said, “Crown is Melbourne’s premier entertainment venue and it was extremely important that we offer a premium service to our visitors. The Panasonic screens were chosen due to the outstanding high definition picture quality they provide.”

With many of the screens operating at all hours of the day, 365 days a year, through very high traffic areas, it was imperative Crown purchased a reliable and robust product. Panasonic commercial plasma screens are specifically designed to withstand the extreme demands of high use commercial applications.

Craig Hutchinson, Group Manager, Business Development, Panasonic Australia, said “Panasonic’s commercial plasma screens offer both the durability in design and flexibility of connections to suit a multitude of applications.

“Plasma screens are becoming increasingly popular as digital signage solutions. As well as the high visual impact of the size and quality of the screens, Panasonic plasmas come equipped with a range of features that enable a perfect fit-for-purpose solution,” continued Hutchinson.
