Point of purchase operator Active Display Group is adding value to its business with the acquisition of POP print and display company Adval Australia from Eye Corp.
With a history of acquisitions including APG Display and Four Colour Digital in 2004 and AFI Branding in 2008, Active founder and chairman Jeff Gittus said he is confident that the addition of Adval will bring benefits to the customers of both businesses.
“The addition of Adval to the group will almost double our print capacity, and with our new AGFA :M-Press Tiger digital print line only a couple of months away, customers on both sides can expect a lift in our already high standards of turnaround, range and quality,” he said.
The addition of Adval's operation will give Active its fourth large manufacturing site in Melbourne, plus an additional sales office in Brisbane – an untapped market for the Active business while Adval's Sydney sales office will relocate from its current home within the Eye Corp offices at Pyrmont to Active's office in nearby Rozelle.
Active also sealed a deal to acquire a majority shareholding in three Hong Kong-based marketing services businesses including Sino Hero International, Region 3 Design and Champion Display.
According to the company, it is a move which will boost its Asian presence both in OEM Display sourcing, and in full service marketing support for the Asian counterparts of Active's Australian customers.
