Retailers are encouraged to bring the ‘wow’ factor into the shopping experience to bring shoppers back into the store.
One trending solution at the moment is giving shoppers the ability to share what they are shopping for with friends via social networking sites, email or through SMS.
JL Images has a created portable photo booth that is compact in size and can be place anywhere in a store.
Jeff Lai, JL Images owner, said the booth is about ‘bringing sexy back’ to the photo booth market while bring the fun factor back into the store.
“The engagement and interaction has driven us to advance our software from the current emailing, Twitter and Facebook through to a capability of instant live upload in the background to FTP sites and SMS/MMS,” he said.
“Tracking and reporting of a number of emails, Facebook uploads and likes including a clients own photo portal is also in the pipeline along with digital augmenting – a drag and drop feature of digital props.”
The portable photo booths were recently used at the World Square Shopping centre spring/summer fashion event in Sydney.
Lai also said other new features expected to appear include green screen and the ability to swap photos into a different order on the photo stop live on the screen.
JL Images also recognise the growing tablet market and are working on an iPad version with these advancement due out mid-2013.
