Harvey Norman sales are up again, for the third week in a row, with like-for-like written sales from franchised Harvey Norman stores for the 28 days ending 14 December increased by 4.5 per cent compared to the same period last year.

However, retail margins continue to be under pressure, the company said in a statement.

Harvey Norman has been issuing weekly sales reports for the past two months, as an indicator of its market.

Harvey Norman stated that sales turnover for franchised Harvey Norman stores was indicative of retail market conditions in Australia, with a Harvey Norman store in every state.
